stuffs

So, it occurs to me there might be a one or two people who wonder where I've been.  The past six months have been crazy and I've really been slacking on arts!  There's several reasons, actually.  1:  I started my degree for Graphic Design in the fall, which took a lot of my free time.  I'm hoping this coming semester I'll have a better handle on things and be a little more active here.  2: I started a new job.  It's only part time, but I'm making about what I was full time elsewhere, so I'm good there. 

And 3: I seem to have lost motivation do anything productive.  Part of that is that 5 months of not working on drawing means I'm really sucking right now and it's discouraging.  But it's also that I just can't find motivation for most things anymore, and I'm not sure why.  Once I get started on something, I do good.  Just don't want to get started.  I guess that's my lazy side demanding attention, I don't know.  XD  But I have started sketching again, even though it sucks, because I have a picture I need to get ready in a couple of months, so I want to get it going!  (more on that when it's done)

I did get an AWESOME new monitor for Christmas, as well as a shelf/desk combo!  So, I have more room to do things on.  HSpoon is determined to fix up my office so it has everything I need, which is rather encourging, I have to say.  Next on the list is an art table.  And, a light box.  I think that'll help with inking lines so I don't have to worry about screwing up the sketch.  Also, a good place to paint figs!  XD  I'm also taking Drawing 1 this semseter, and plan on taking Figure Drawing next fall. So, at the very least, I'll have classwork I can post for comments.  Well, if anyone actually does comment, doesn't seem to happen that much anymore.  Still, it'll be something!  I've also got Trillian on my laptop, which I bring to work, so if you see me on, feel free to say hi!

Anyhoo, that's all on this end.  I'm sorry I've been so sucky and keeping in touch with people.  It's a nasty cycle where I forget to write, then feel guilty about it so I put it off more and then feel more guilty and so on.  ><  But I'm going to try and get back in touch with people again.  So, I'll try to post here more regularly and see if I can keep it up.

And I have no way to end this journal except to trail off randomly, so that's what I shall do.  XD

Edit: Also, I have a shit-ton of messages in my box!  I'll look through them, but I probally won't comment on too many of them, though I'll fav the ones I like.  Once i clean it out, I can get back to actually paying attention to things again!
